Refund Policy

Updated June 2nd, 2022

Last updated: September 16, 2026

Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to purchases of Discortics™ paid plans, subscriptions, one-time plans, credits, premium features, custom bot services, and other digital services (the "Paid Services"). It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights, including applicable cancellation, non-delivery, faulty-service, price-reduction, or refund rights. Those rights may apply beyond the periods below. Immediate activation or use does not, by itself, waive a statutory cancellation right; any legally required consent and acknowledgement must be obtained separately.

1. Standard Refund Requests

You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase if the Paid Service has not been materially used, consumed, customized, or transferred. This is our voluntary change-of-mind policy, separate from statutory rights and the limited full-price one-time shutdown protection in section 5. For subscriptions, the 7-day window runs from the date of the charge for which you request a refund.

Contact us about accidental duplicate purchases, billing errors, or a service we cannot provide. Verified duplicate charges and billing errors will be corrected. If we cannot provision the purchased service within the delivery period agreed at purchase, you may cancel the unprovided service for a full refund. If no delivery period was agreed, contact support so we can agree a reasonable delivery deadline; if we miss that deadline, you may cancel for a full refund. Any earlier remedy required by law still applies.

Introductory, launch, promotional, coupon, and switching-discount purchases may qualify within this same 7-day window, subject to the conditions above. They do not qualify for voluntary prorated refunds. Refunds use the amount actually paid after discounts, not the advertised regular price.

2. What One-Time or Lifetime Access Means

A one-time purchase has no recurring subscription charge for the purchased entitlement. If we describe it as "lifetime," this means the operating life of the purchased Discortics service, not the purchaser's lifetime, Discord's lifetime, or a promise that Discortics will operate forever.

The tier, server slots, and other entitlements stated in the offer or order confirmation determine what is included. One-time access does not grant ownership of the software, source code, infrastructure, or a right to self-host it. Separately priced future products, additional server slots, usage-based services, or bespoke development are included only if expressly stated in the purchase offer.

We may maintain and improve the service, but this does not permit us to remove substantially the same purchased entitlement and require another payment merely by renaming or repackaging it. We will not automatically convert a one-time purchase into a recurring subscription. Any optional paid upgrade requires your agreement.

3. Feature and Platform Changes

Discortics decides how its features develop. We may add, remove, modify, replace, or adjust commands, modules, interfaces, integrations, features, and limits as we believe will better serve communities, improve the product, or address reliability, security, legal, or Discord requirements. Purchasing a plan does not guarantee that every feature or implementation will remain unchanged for the life of the service.

Feature changes do not, by themselves, create a voluntary refund, credit, replacement, or prorated-refund entitlement outside the standard 7-day window. This discretion remains subject to applicable law and any binding commitments made at purchase. Where a change gives you a legal right to cancellation, a price reduction, or a refund, that right remains available.

Temporary outages, maintenance, Discord API changes, or third-party interruptions are not a permanent shutdown. Permanently discontinuing the purchased Paid Service is governed by sections 4 and 5, rather than treated merely as a feature change.

4. If Discortics or Your Paid Service Shuts Down

If we permanently discontinue Discortics or the purchased Paid Service, we will give at least 30 days' advance notice. We will send notice through the billing email or another direct contact method available to us and publish a notice on our website or dashboard. The notice will explain the final service date, applicable refund eligibility, and any available ways to retrieve your data before access ends.

We will stop accepting purchases for the affected service once its shutdown has been decided. We will also stop subscription renewals that would charge for service beyond the final service date.

A rename, sale, or ownership change alone does not end a one-time entitlement if the purchased service continues. A shutdown does not automatically entitle every purchase to a refund; the voluntary eligibility rules in section 5 apply, subject to mandatory consumer rights.

5. Limited Shutdown Refunds

Full-price one-time purchases

If the purchased Paid Service permanently shuts down within 365 days of payment, a one-time purchase paid in full at its regular, undiscounted price qualifies for a voluntary prorated refund. This is the only voluntary exception to the standard 7-day refund window.

The refund is calculated as:

Amount paid for the affected one-time service × days remaining in the first 365 days ÷ 365.

We use the final service date, not the date of the shutdown announcement or the date support processes the request. At or after day 365, there is no voluntary shutdown refund. The 365-day period is used only to calculate refund eligibility; it is not an expiry date for one-time access.

For example, a full-price $74.99 one-time purchase whose service ends 100 days after payment qualifies for $74.99 × 265 ÷ 365 = $54.44, rounded to the currency's smallest unit.

Discounted one-time purchases

Introductory, launch, promotional, coupon, and switching-discount purchases do not qualify for voluntary prorated or shutdown refunds after the standard 7-day window. Paying the entire discounted amount upfront does not make it a full-price purchase. The regular price and any discount must be identified in the offer or purchase record; we will not retrospectively classify a purchase as discounted.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions do not qualify for voluntary prorated refunds of unused prepaid time, including following a shutdown. Refund requests are limited to the first 7 days after the relevant charge, subject to section 1. We allocate infrastructure, capacity, and resources for the purchased period, whether or not you use them. Non-use does not extend the refund window or create a credit or refund entitlement.

Applicable rights and calculations

These limits describe our voluntary refund policy. They do not exclude any refund, cancellation, or other remedy required by law, including for a service that is not supplied, or a more favorable binding commitment made at purchase.

Eligible refunds cover the affected purchase or separately priced affected service, with applicable tax adjustments. They do not cover unrelated services that continue. Previous refunds of the same charge are taken into account to avoid duplicate repayment. We do not retrospectively deduct undisclosed setup fees, payment-processing fees, or the price of a hypothetical monthly subscription.

6. Other Refund Exclusions

Subject to the rights and exceptions above, voluntary change-of-mind refunds are not available for:

  • Requests outside the standard 7-day window, or Paid Services already materially used or consumed.
  • Unused prepaid subscription time after the applicable 7-day window, including where you cancel or stop using the service.
  • Used credits, consumables, or usage-based products.
  • Separately agreed custom development, migration, or personalized setup work already performed. A Custom one-time plan is not automatically treated as non-refundable bespoke work.
  • Losing access to your Discord account or server, transferring server ownership, removing the bot, or choosing to stop using the service.
  • Termination resulting from your substantiated fraud, abuse, or material violation of the Terms of Service or Discord rules, where withholding a refund is lawful.

Purchases through official checkout links supplied by Discortics support are covered by this Policy. For purchases through an independent reseller or marketplace, contact the seller; this does not exclude any legal responsibility Discortics may have.

7. Subscriptions and Cancellations

Cancelling an ordinary subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current period or prior charges. Use the available billing flow or contact support before renewal. Removing the bot does not cancel billing.

A one-time plan does not renew. Ending access or removing the bot does not itself create a refund entitlement. The limited shutdown protection in section 5 and statutory rights still apply.

8. How to Request and Receive a Refund

Contact [email protected] or open a ticket in our Discord support server. Email remains an alternative if you cannot access Discord.

Include your Discord user ID and server ID, order or transaction identifier, purchase date, and the reason for your request. Do not send passwords, bot tokens, or complete payment-card details. We may request reasonable information to verify the purchase and investigate the issue.

For a shutdown, we will identify affected purchases and initiate eligible refunds where payment records allow, contacting buyers if more information is needed. Contact us if you have not received the expected refund. The standard 7-day request window does not apply to eligible full-price one-time shutdown claims under section 5 or override a statutory claim period.

Approved refunds are generally submitted to the original payment method within 2 business days after approval, subject to any shorter legal deadline. Your payment provider may take additional time to post the funds. If the original payment method cannot receive the refund, we will agree another lawful method with you. Refunds end the refunded entitlement unless a partial remedy is agreed or required by law.

We may offer a credit, extension, or replacement as an alternative, but will not require you to accept credit instead of a monetary refund to which you are entitled. Any credit restrictions or expiry will be explained before you accept.

9. Payment Disputes

You may contact support to resolve a billing issue without giving up your right to raise a dispute with your payment provider. We may temporarily suspend the disputed Paid Service where reasonably necessary while a dispute is investigated. Exercising a legitimate payment-dispute or consumer right is not, by itself, abuse and does not cancel other refund rights.

10. Policy Changes and Contact

The purchase terms and applicable law at the time of your order govern your entitlement. Later policy changes will not retroactively reduce refund protections or express commitments attached to an existing purchase. This Policy does not remove more favorable rights already promised to existing customers. We will make the relevant terms available before purchase, including purchases arranged through support.
