Discover Module

Publish a server profile, create a permanent invite, and bump your server through Discord.

A practical walkthrough

6 min read · Updated Jul 21, 2026

The Discover module creates a public Discortics profile for your Discord server. The profile can show your server name, icon, banner, description, tags, member count, server features, sample members, and sample emojis. Visitors can use its Join button to open your server invite.

Most setup happens through /discovery. After publishing the profile, members can use /bump to add a bump to the server's Discover statistics.

Features

  • Enable or hide your server's public Discover profile.
  • Add a custom description, tags, and banner.
  • Use a Discord server banner, invite splash, or discovery splash when no custom banner is set.
  • Generate a permanent, unlimited-use Discord invite.
  • Share a direct link to the server's public profile.
  • Record bumps for the server, including totals and recent daily activity.
  • Show current Discord details such as member count, boosts, Community or Partnered status, sample members, and emojis when available.

Before You Begin

You need the Manage Server permission to run /discovery and change the profile. Any server member can run /bump unless you restrict the command with Discortics command access settings.

Discortics needs these permissions in the channel where you run the commands:

  • View Channel
  • Send Messages
  • Embed Links
  • Create Invite

The profile needs a valid invite before visitors can join. Discortics creates invites with no expiry date and no use limit.

Discover Limits

Discover has the same limits on Public, Prime, and Custom bots.

Banner URL through Discord300300300

Description and banner limits are character counts. Tags entered through Discord share a 200-character input, and Discortics keeps the first five comma-separated tags.

Create Your Discover Profile

  1. Run /discovery in a server channel.
  2. Select Description and describe your server.
  3. Select Tags and enter up to five comma-separated tags.
  4. Select Banner and enter an HTTPS image URL, or leave it blank to use a Discord server image.
  5. Select Generate Invite in a channel where Discortics can create invites.
  6. Use the first status button to turn Enabled on.

Changes made through /discovery are saved immediately. There is no separate save button.

The settings message shows whether the profile is enabled or private, its current tags and description, and the saved invite's status. Run /discovery again whenever you need a fresh settings message.

Profile Options Explained

Enabled

Enabled publishes the profile. When it is off, the public profile link returns Server not found, and /bump cannot bump the server.

Turn this off when you want to pause Discover without deleting the profile settings.

Private

Private hides an enabled profile from public access. A private profile also returns Server not found when someone opens its direct link.

Use this when you want to keep the saved profile while temporarily preventing anyone from viewing it. Turn Private off before sharing the public link.

Description

The description tells visitors what your server is about. Through Discord, it can contain up to 300 characters. The Dashboard supports up to 400 characters.

Leaving it blank omits the description from the public profile. The Discord settings preview may still show your Discord server description. Add useful details such as the server's topic, audience, activities, or community rules.

Tags

Tags help describe the server at a glance. Enter them as a comma-separated list, for example:

gaming, minecraft, events, friendly

Discortics trims spaces and keeps the first five non-empty entries. Choose short, specific terms that match the community.

The banner must be a valid direct image URL beginning with https://. Through Discord, the URL can contain up to 300 characters. The Dashboard supports up to 500 characters.

Leave the field blank to let Discortics try your server's Discord banner, invite splash, or discovery splash instead. If none is available, the public profile appears without a banner.

Invite

Select Generate Invite to create an invite for the channel where /discovery was run. The invite does not expire and has no use limit. Its code is saved with the profile and powers the public page's Join button.

Generating another invite replaces the saved code. It does not delete the old Discord invite.

Bump Your Server

  1. Make sure Discover is enabled with /discovery.
  2. Run /bump in a channel where Discortics can create an invite.
  3. Wait for the confirmation message.

Each successful bump adds one to the server's total and current daily bump count. Discortics retains recent daily bump activity for seven days.

Each member can use /bump once every six hours. Other members have their own cooldowns, so several members can bump the same server.

If the saved invite is still valid, /bump reuses it. If it is missing or invalid, Discortics tries to create a new permanent invite in the channel where the command was run before recording the bump.

Update or Hide a Profile

Run /discovery and use the same controls at any time:

  • Select the status button to enable or disable the profile.
  • Select Private to hide or restore public access.
  • Select Description, Tags, or Banner to replace that value.
  • Submit an empty description, tags, or banner field to clear it.
  • Select Generate Invite to save a new invite.

Discover does not provide a delete command. Disable the profile to unpublish it while keeping its settings.

Dashboard

Open Dashboard → Discover to edit the same profile with a full-page form. The Dashboard also provides:

  • A 400-character description field.
  • A 500-character banner URL field.
  • A Generate Invite or Refresh Invite button.
  • The public profile URL with a Copy button.
  • A save bar for confirming or discarding profile changes.

Dashboard invite generation uses the first text or announcement channel available to Discortics. If it fails, generate the invite with /discovery in a specific channel instead.

Share and View the Public Profile

The profile URL uses this format:

https://discortics.com/discover/SERVER_ID

Use the Dashboard's Copy button or the share button on the public profile to copy the exact link.

The public page can show live Discord information in addition to your saved fields. Some details may be absent when Discord does not provide them. For example, member samples and emojis only appear when they are available.

Visitors see Invite not available instead of a working Join button when no invite code is saved. Generate a new invite through /discovery or the Dashboard to fix it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the profile say “Server not found”?

Run /discovery and make sure Enabled is on and Private is off. The same page appears when Discortics cannot load the server profile.

Why can I not use /bump?

Discover must be enabled first. If it is enabled, check whether your six-hour cooldown is still active and whether Discortics can create an invite in the current channel.

Why can Discortics not generate an invite?

Give Discortics Create Invite in the target channel. Also confirm that it can view the channel. When using the Dashboard, make sure at least one text or announcement channel is available, or generate the invite with /discovery in your chosen channel.

What happens if the saved invite expires or is deleted?

The settings panel marks it as invalid or expired. Generate a new invite with /discovery, refresh it from the Dashboard, or run /bump in a channel where Discortics can create one automatically.

Why is my custom banner rejected?

Use a direct HTTPS image URL. Web page links, non-HTTPS links, and URLs that do not look like image links are rejected. Clear the field if you want Discortics to use a Discord server image instead.

No. Private profiles are unavailable through their direct links. Turn Private off before sharing the profile.

Does Discover have premium-only features?

No. Public, Prime, and Custom bots use the same Discover commands, limits, profile fields, and bump cooldown.
