Create application forms, let members apply in Discord, and review every response.

Use Applications for staff recruitment, partnerships, event sign-ups, and any other form your server needs. Members choose a form in Discord, answer its questions in their DMs, and receive the decision from Discortics.

Start here

Create your first formThe Dashboard shows the complete form on one page.
  1. Open Dashboard → Applications.
  2. Create a form with a name and private log channel.
  3. Add at least one question.
  4. Save the form and make sure its status is open.
  5. Test it in Discord with /application apply.

Choose what you need

  • Forms: create, edit, open, close, and delete forms.
  • Applying and responses: apply, review answers, accept or deny, and clear responses.
  • Customisation: questions, access rules, ping roles, role actions, icons, and application panel messages.
  • Limits: form, question, response, file, role, and channel limits for each bot tier.

Before you begin

  • Staff need Manage Server to configure forms. For response management in Discord, assign up to two Application Manager roles per form; members with either role can manage that form’s responses without Manage Server.
  • Applicants must allow server DMs so Discortics can ask the questions.
  • Use a private log channel because answers can contain personal information.
  • Discortics needs Manage Roles when an accepted or denied application changes a role.
  • Keep the Discortics role above every role it needs to add or remove.

Public bot requirement: Every form on the public bot needs a valid log channel. Prime and Custom bots can also review the latest response for each member and form in the Dashboard and /application review.

How an application works

  1. A staff member creates and opens a form.
  2. A member runs /application apply and selects it.
  3. Discortics asks each question in the member's DMs.
  4. The completed response is sent to the configured log channel.
  5. Staff accept or deny the response.
  6. Discortics DMs the result and runs any configured role action.

Common problems

The form does not appear

Check that the form is open, has at least one question, and is within your server's application limits. Also check its role and channel restrictions.

The applicant does not receive questions

Ask them to enable Allow direct messages from server members, then run /application apply again.

Discortics cannot add the accepted role

Give Discortics Manage Roles and move its highest role above the role configured in the form.
