The Economy module gives your server its own currency. Members can earn money, move it between their wallet and bank, share it, gamble it, and spend it in your server shop.
Most Economy tasks work inside Discord. The Dashboard provides another way to edit settings and shop items. It also has a separate tool for permanently resetting member Economy data.
Features
- Choose a currency emoji.
- Configure daily and work rewards.
- Earn extra money with beg, search, and crime.
- Add a transfer tax.
- Track wallet, bank, and total net worth.
- Let members share money or try to rob each other.
- Play blackjack, roulette, slots, coinflip, crash, cross, and mines with wallet funds.
- Create shop items with role or rank banner rewards.
- Require members to have certain roles before buying an item.
- Limit item stock or keep it unlimited.
- View the top 100 members by net worth.
Before You Begin
Staff need the Manage Server permission to change Economy settings or manage shop items. Members do not need a special permission to use normal Economy commands.
Discortics needs permission to Send Messages and Embed Links. If a shop item gives roles, Discortics also needs Manage Roles, and its highest role must be above every reward role.
All Economy balances and items belong to one server. Money earned in one server cannot be used in another server.
Economy Limits
All Economy commands are available on Public, Prime, and Custom bots. The shop item cap is the only tier-specific Economy limit.
| Resource | Public | Prime | Custom |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shop items per server | 5 | 10 | 20 |
If your server moves to a lower tier, items outside its new cap are not available for purchase or management. The oldest items stay inside the active item window. Upgrade again or delete older items to make later items available.

/economy settings. - Select Emoji and send the Unicode or custom server emoji you want to use.

Settings Explained
Currency Emoji
The currency emoji appears beside balances, rewards, transfers, shop prices, and game results.
After selecting Emoji, send one emoji within 60 seconds. You can use:
- A Unicode emoji, such as
🪙. - A custom emoji from the same server.
defaultto return to the standard Discortics coin.
Discortics attempts to delete the message after reading it.
Daily Reward
Min amount and Max amount set the random wallet reward from /economy daily. Use positive whole numbers, with Max equal to or greater than Min.
Each member can claim this reward once per UTC calendar day. It resets when a new UTC date begins, not exactly 24 hours after the previous claim.
The default range is 6,000 to 10,000.
Work Reward
Min amount and Max amount set the random wallet reward from /economy work. Cooldown seconds controls how long each member must wait before working again.
Use positive whole numbers, with Max equal to or greater than Min. The default range is 1,000 to 3,750, with a 300 second cooldown.
Tax Rate
The tax rate applies when a member uses /economy share. The selected percentage reduces the amount received by the other member.
Use 0 to disable tax. The highest accepted value is 100.
Reset Economy Settings
Select Reset in /economy settings, then confirm to restore the default currency, reward ranges, cooldown, and tax rate.
This does not delete balances, inventories, rank banners, or shop items. The Dashboard has a separate destructive data reset described under Reset All Member Economy Data.
Earn and View Money
Claim a Daily Reward
Run /economy daily. Discortics adds a random amount from the configured Daily range to your wallet.
If you already claimed it during the current UTC day, wait until the next UTC date.
Work for Money
Run /economy work. Discortics chooses a random work message and adds a random amount from the configured Work range to your wallet.
If the command is on cooldown, Discortics shows how long remains.
Beg, Search, and Commit Crimes
Three more income commands sit between the safe daily reward and the gambling games:
/economy begasks a random passerby for change. They either donate a small amount to your wallet or ignore you. It can be used every 15 minutes./economy searchlets you pick a location to search. You either find a small amount of money or walk away with nothing — searching never costs you money. It can be used every 15 minutes./economy crimeis the risky option. A successful crime pays noticeably more than a daily reward, but a failed one costs you part of your wallet. It can be used every 30 minutes.

Run /economy balance to view your wallet, bank, and combined net worth.
Use /economy balance user:@member to view another member's balance. The user option is optional.

Shop Item Options Explained
Name and Description
Name identifies the item in the shop and purchase menu. It is required and supports up to 100 characters.
Description explains what the member receives. It is optional and supports up to 500 characters.
Purchase Price
The purchase price is the amount removed from a member's wallet when they buy the item. It must be at least 1.
Buying adds the item to the member's inventory. It does not apply the reward immediately. The member must use the item afterward.
Resale Price
The optional resale price is saved and shown on the item. There is currently no Economy command for members to sell an item back, so setting this value does not enable resale by itself.
Stock
Stock controls how many copies can be bought across the server.
- Enter a positive number for limited stock.
- Leave it empty or use
0for infinite stock.
Limited stock decreases after each successful purchase. Sold shows the total number of successful purchases.
Reward
Choose one reward type:
- Role: Select up to five roles. All selected roles are added when the member uses the item.
- Rank Banner: Enter the image URL used as the member's Economy rank banner when they use the item.
Role rewards only work when Discortics has Manage Roles and sits above the selected roles.
Required Roles
Select up to five roles that can unlock the item. A member only needs one selected role to buy it. Leave the selection empty to allow everyone.
Enabled or Disabled
Enabled items can appear in the purchase menu. Disabled items stay configured but cannot be bought.
Use Disable when you want to pause sales without deleting the item. Use Enable to make it available again, as long as it is inside your current tier's shop item cap.
Buy and Use Shop Items
Buy an Item
- Run
/economy shop listto view item names, descriptions, prices, and limited stock. - Run
/economy shop buy. - Select an item.
- Review its price and select Buy.
The purchase fails if you do not have enough wallet funds, the item is out of stock, the item is disabled, or you do not have one of its required roles.
View Your Inventory
Run /economy shop inventory to see each item you own, its quantity, and its reward type.
Use an Item
- Run
/economy shop use. - Select an item from your inventory.
- Discortics applies its role or rank banner reward.
- One copy is removed from your inventory.
If a role reward fails, check Discortics' Manage Roles permission and role position.
Manage Shop Items
Run /economy shop item and select an item to:
- Edit its basic details, prices, or stock.
- Change its reward type and reward value.
- Change its required roles.
- Enable or disable purchases.
- View its total sold count.
- Delete it.
Warning: Deleting a shop item cannot be undone. It removes the shop listing, but copies already stored in member inventories are not removed.
The Dashboard provides the same main shop fields in a card-based editor under Dashboard → Economy → Shop.
Gamble Wallet Money
Gambling commands use wallet funds. Deposit money you want to keep out of play.
Blackjack
Run /economy blackjack amount:500, then use Hit or Stand.
- A normal win returns twice the bet.
- Blackjack returns two and a half times the bet.
- A push returns the original bet.
- A loss returns nothing.
Slots
Run /economy slots amount:500. Discortics spins three symbols and updates the message with the result. Matching symbols determine whether you win.
Coinflip
Run /economy coinflip amount:500 side:heads. Call heads or tails; a correct call wins your bet, a wrong one loses it.
Crash
Run /economy crash amount:500 multiplier:2. The rocket climbs until it randomly crashes. If it reaches your chosen cashout multiplier first, you win your bet multiplied by it; if it crashes earlier, the bet is lost. Higher multipliers pay more and hit less often.
Cross
Run /economy cross amount:500 to play a push-your-luck crossing game. Each hop forward raises your multiplier, but a passing car ends the run and takes the bet. Cash out with the button whenever you want to lock in your winnings.
Mines
Run /economy mines amount:500 mines:5. A grid of 20 tiles hides gems and the number of mines you chose. Each revealed gem raises your multiplier; cash out at any time, but revealing a mine loses the bet. More mines means faster-growing multipliers.

Roulette
Run /economy roulette bet:red amount:500. A roulette round lasts 30 seconds, and other members can join the same server round.
The bet option accepts:
- One number from
0to36. - A dozen:
1-12,13-24, or25-36. - A half:
1-18or19-36. - A column:
1st,2nd, or3rd. - A color:
redorblack. - A parity:
evenorodd.
The amount option is the wallet amount placed on that bet.
Rob Another Member
Run /economy rob target:@member.
Both you and the target need at least 1,000 in wallet cash. A successful robbery takes a random part of the target's wallet. A failed robbery makes you pay part of your wallet to the target. Bank funds are not involved.
Reset All Member Economy Data
The Dashboard provides a destructive reset that is not available through an Economy slash command.
- Open Dashboard → Economy → Economy Data.
- Select Reset Economy Stats.
- Read the warning and continue.
- Enter the displayed confirmation text exactly.
- Select Reset Stats.
This permanently deletes member wallet balances, bank balances, inventories, and rank banners. Economy settings and shop items stay intact.
Warning: This reset affects every member with Economy data and cannot be undone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can I not buy an item when my bank has enough money?
Shop purchases use your wallet only. Run /economy withdraw amount: to move enough money from your bank into your wallet.
Why did my shop item not give its reward immediately?
Buying places the item in your inventory. Run /economy shop use and select it to apply the reward.
Why can Discortics not give a shop role?
Give Discortics Manage Roles and move its highest role above every reward role. Discord-managed integration roles cannot be assigned normally.
Why is a shop item missing after my server changed tiers?
Your shop item cap may have decreased. Public supports 5 items, Prime supports 10, and Custom supports 20. The oldest items remain inside the active window. Upgrade again or delete older items to make room.
Can members sell shop items back?
Not currently. Shop items can store and display a resale price, but there is no member sell command.
Does resetting Economy settings delete balances?
No. Reset inside /economy settings only restores configuration defaults. The separate Dashboard Reset Economy Stats action deletes all member Economy data.
When does /economy daily reset?
It resets at the start of each UTC calendar day. The reset is shared for all members regardless of their local time zone.
Are bank funds safe from sharing, shops, games, and robbery?
Yes. Those actions use wallet funds. Withdraw money when you want to spend it.
