Missing permissions

“I need View Channel, Send Messages, and Embed Links” or “missing_permissions”:

  • Open the affected channel's Edit Channel → Permissions in Discord.
  • Allow the permissions listed in the error for the bot's role. Check category overrides too.
  • For private channels, add the bot or its role. Save, then retry in the Dashboard.

Role hierarchy

“The role is at or above my highest role”:

  • Open Server Settings → Roles and move the bot's role above the role it needs to manage.
  • Give the bot Manage Roles. Integration-managed roles cannot be assigned manually.
  • Retry the action.

Unavailable channel

“channel_not_found” or “Unavailable channel”:

  • Check that the channel still exists and the bot can view it.
  • Reload the Dashboard and select an accessible channel in the affected setting.
  • Save again. The number in the error identifies the channel when its name cannot be loaded.

Settings changed

“Settings changed. Reload before saving”:

  • Copy any edits you want to keep, then reload the page.
  • Reapply your edits to the latest settings and save again.
  • Avoid saving the same settings from multiple tabs at once.

Feature limits

“Limit reached”, “cap reached”, or “supports up to”:

  • Remove an unused item or reduce the list to the limit shown.
  • Check the feature's guide for tier limits. Upgrade only if a higher tier offers the capacity you need.

Bot unavailable

“Bot unavailable” or “guild_unavailable”:

  • Check the selected server and confirm its assigned Discortics bot is still a member.
  • Check the status page, wait briefly, and retry.
  • If it continues, share the error and server ID in the Support Server.
