Giveaway Configuration

Advanced giveaway settings control when a giveaway starts, who can enter, how entries are weighted, and what new giveaways use by default.

Configure one giveaway

Open Dashboard → Giveaways → Create Giveaway or run /giveaway create, then change only the options you need.

Winners and schedule

Winners controls how many different members can win. One member cannot be selected twice, even with extra entries.

For Schedule, enter a relative delay such as 1d2h3m or a Discord timestamp such as <t:1784653200:F>. The duration begins when the scheduled giveaway starts.

End Count closes the giveaway after a chosen number of eligible entries. Its normal end time remains as a fallback. Set it to 0 to disable it.

Requirements

• Required Roles: the member needs at least one selected role.
• Forbidden Roles: any selected role blocks entry.
• Message Goal: minimum messages tracked by Discortics.
• Level Goal: minimum Discortics level.
• Voice Duration Goal: minimum tracked voice time.
• Account Age: minimum age of the Discord account.
• Join Goal: minimum time in the server.
• Suggested Invites: displays an invite target but is not currently checked during entry.

Message, level, and voice requirements depend on Discortics tracking data for the server.

Bypass roles

A member with any bypass role skips every eligibility check, including required roles, blocked roles, activity goals, and age requirements.

Role multipliers

A multiplier gives matching members more weight in winner selection. When a member has several multiplier roles, the server-wide mode decides how they combine:

• Add: start with one entry, then add every configured value.
• Multiply: multiply the configured values together.
• Highest: use only the highest configured value.

Banner and public listing

Choose the default banner, no banner, or a custom http or https image URL.

A Public giveaway appears in /giveaway discover. Its message hides the requirements, but eligibility checks still apply. Use a public giveaway only when entrants can understand how to qualify.

Configure server defaults

Available defaults include:

• Entry emoji, embed color, and banner.
• Winner DMs, giveaway ping role, and winner role.
• Public status, blocked roles, bypass roles, and multipliers.
• Multiplier mode and failed recheck behavior.

Failed Recheck controls a member who reacts again and no longer qualifies. Keep retains the previous entry. Invalidate marks it ineligible. Winner selection still performs its normal final check.

Most defaults affect only new giveaways. Current DM Winners, Winrole, and ending embed color are read when a giveaway ends, so changing them can affect a running giveaway.

Save a template

1. Open /giveaway create and configure the preview.
2. Select Save.
3. Confirm the template.

Saving does not start the giveaway. Use /giveaway template to open, edit, start, or delete a saved template.

Warning: A deleted template cannot be restored. Existing giveaways created from it remain unchanged.

Limits by bot tier

Running and scheduled giveaways both use active capacity. End an unused running giveaway or wait for a scheduled giveaway to start before creating another one.

Reset every default

Open /giveaway settings, select Reset, and confirm. This clears the entry emoji, color, banner, notification, role, public, blocked, bypass, and multiplier defaults.

Warning: Reset cannot be undone. It does not delete existing giveaways or templates.
