Create a quick giveaway
A giveaway drop is a quick giveaway that ends when a milestone target is reached rather than on a fixed countdown timer. Run:
/giveaway drop prize: winner-count: channel: at-entry-count: at-member-count: at-boost-count: at-message-count:
- Enter the prize and winner count.
- Optionally specify the destination channel (defaults to the current channel).
- Optionally set a milestone target directly with
at-entry-count:,at-member-count:,at-boost-count:, orat-message-count:. - Running the command opens the Drop Setup Preview. If a milestone was not supplied in the command options, configure one in the preview panel before selecting Start.
- Prefix users can run
;gdropto enter the prize and winner count via chat prompts, which opens the same setup preview.
Drop giveaways require a milestone to start. The duration acts as a maximum safety deadline based on your tier limit; the giveaway ends immediately when the milestone target is reached or when the safety deadline expires, whichever happens first.
Drop milestones
The giveaway ends when the chosen milestone target is reached:
- Eligible Entries (
at-entry-count:): Available on all bot tiers. Ends when the specified number of eligible members have entered. - Server Members (
at-member-count:): Available on all bot tiers. Ends when the server reaches the target member count (including bots and pending members). - Server Boosts (
at-boost-count:): Prime and Custom bot tiers. Ends when the server reaches the target boost count. - Server Messages (
at-message-count:): Prime and Custom bot tiers. Ends when the server reaches the target tracked message count.
Members enter by reacting with the entry emoji. When the milestone target is reached, entries close immediately and winners are selected.

An advanced giveaway ready to start
The Discord setup session expires after five minutes. Start the command again when its controls stop responding.
How members enter
- Open the active giveaway message.
- React with its entry emoji.
- Keep the reaction on the message while the giveaway is running.
Discortics removes an ineligible member's reaction and tries to DM the failed requirement. On the public bot, eligible members also receive a confirmation DM.
When the giveaway ends, Discortics rechecks possible winners. Members who left the server or no longer meet a requirement are skipped.

A running giveaway with its entry reaction
Find a giveaway
Run /giveaway list to see five running or scheduled giveaways per page. Each row shows its prize, short ID, and channel; running giveaways also include a message link. Select View more to open that giveaway in the editor.
Management commands accept a short giveaway ID, Discord message ID, or full Discord message link.
Run /giveaway discover to browse public giveaways. Add giveaway: to search for a specific public giveaway ID.
Edit a giveaway
Run /giveaway edit giveaway:.
You can change the prize, remaining duration, winner count, end count, banner, public status, bypass roles, requirements, and role multipliers. An active drop that already has a milestone can change or remove its milestone target; a duration-only giveaway cannot gain one later. Scheduled giveaways can also change their channel and start time. A running giveaway stays in its original channel.
Select Apply to save. Closing or ended giveaways cannot be edited.
If an active giveaway message was deleted, open it with /giveaway edit and select Recover Message.
End a giveaway early
Run /giveaway end giveaway:. Leave giveaway: empty to use the newest running giveaway in the current channel.
Warning: Ending immediately closes entries and selects winners. It cannot be changed back into a running giveaway.
Reroll winners
Run /giveaway reroll giveaway: winners: ignore-recheck:.
winners:defaults to one new winner.ignore-recheck:skips the final requirement check, but the member must still be in the server and have an eligible stored entry.
A reroll replaces the stored winner list and sends a new announcement. Ended giveaways also show a Reroll button beside the recorded entry count. Select it, enter a positive winner count within your tier limit, and submit. Staff still need Manage Server, including when using the button.
Warning: Use
ignore-recheck:only when you intentionally want to ignore current role, activity, and age requirements.
