Anti-Raid Protection

Detect suspicious join bursts, check risky accounts, and respond before a raid spreads through your server.

Anti-Raid protects your server when suspicious accounts join together. It can evaluate a join burst, check individual account signals, alert your staff, and apply a temporary or permanent action.

Anti-Raid is part of Autopilot, but its join controls are configured separately from message protections such as Anti-Spam and Anti-Link.

Set up Anti-Raid

Start with an alert or a reversible action. Move to Kick or Ban after the settings match your server's normal join activity.

Set up from the DashboardConfigure join and account checks in one form.
  1. Open Dashboard → Moderator → Autopilot.
  2. Select AntiRaid.
  3. Set a join-rate limit and time window above your normal join bursts.
  4. Choose how to handle new accounts, accounts without avatars, and bots.
  5. Choose a log channel for alerts.
  6. Save the changes.
  7. Watch the log channel during a controlled join test.

Smart Detection, Global Bans, and temporary whitelists are configured with /autopilot antiraid.

Set up with the Anti-Raid panelUse the Discord panel for every Anti-Raid control.
  1. Run /autopilot antiraid.
  2. Enable Anti-Raid.
  3. Open Smart Detection.
  4. Set the sensitivity, minimum joins, action, and raid-mode duration.
  5. Review the join-rate and account checks.
  6. Add expected members to Temp Whitelist before a planned event.
  7. Test with a controlled join.

The panel expires after five minutes. Run the command again when its buttons stop responding.

What Anti-Raid can check

  • Detect coordinated join bursts using several account and timing signals.
  • Set a direct join-rate limit when Smart Detection is disabled.
  • Check account age, avatar status, and bot verification.
  • Apply None, Kick, Ban, Mute, or Timeout where supported by the selected check.
  • Check new members against Discortics' shared global ban list.
  • Temporarily stop every new join with Panic Mode.
  • Exempt trusted accounts with ignored users or a temporary whitelist.
  • Send suspicious-join alerts to your Autopilot or moderation log channel.

Permissions and role position

  • You need Administrator to open /autopilot antiraid.
  • Discortics needs View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Manage Roles, Moderate Members, Kick Members, and Ban Members for the matching actions.
  • Configure the server muted role before selecting Mute.
  • Keep the Discortics role above the members it may moderate.
  • Start with an alert or reversible action while you tune the detection settings.

Smart raid detection

Smart Detection evaluates join speed together with account age, missing avatars, similar account creation times, and similar usernames.

Detection settings

Sensitivity can be Low, Medium, or High. Low triggers most easily. High requires stronger evidence before Discortics treats the group as a raid.

Min Joins sets the minimum group size that can activate raid mode. Enter a value from 3 to 100.

Action controls what happens to members who join during detected raid mode. Choose None, Kick, Ban, Mute, or Timeout.

Punish Duration is required when the selected action is Mute or Timeout.

Raid Mode Duration controls how long raid mode remains active after the latest matching join. Choose a duration from 1 minute to 1 hour.

Sweep also applies the selected action to members from the burst that activated raid mode.

While raid mode is active, each new join receives the selected action unless the account is ignored or temporarily whitelisted. When a fast join burst looks legitimate, Discortics sends an alert instead of punishing the group.

Join and account checks

Join rate

Enter the limit and window as limit/window, such as 10/60s. Smart Detection uses this rate during its analysis. When Smart Detection is disabled, reaching the limit directly kicks the joining member.

Choose a value above your server's normal join bursts so a scheduled event does not look like an attack.

New accounts

Set the youngest account age your server accepts, then choose None, Kick, Ban, Mute, or Timeout. Use a duration such as 7d for the account age. Mute and Timeout also require an action duration.

No avatar

Choose how Anti-Raid handles accounts without a custom avatar. Available actions are None, Kick, Ban, Mute, and Timeout.

This is a broad signal. Use it with care because legitimate members may still have Discord's default avatar.

Bots

  • Allow All lets every bot join.
  • Allow Verified Only lets Discord-verified bots join and applies the selected action to other bots.
  • Block All applies the selected action to every bot join.

Bot actions can be None, Kick, or Ban.

Fancy names

Enable Fancy Names to replace unsupported decorative characters in a new member's nickname with readable characters where possible.

Global bans and panic mode

Global Bans checks new members against Discortics' shared global ban list. Choose None, Warn, Mute, Kick, or Ban. Selecting None disables the check.

Panic Mode immediately kicks every new member for a temporary period of up to 30 minutes.

Warning: Panic Mode does not distinguish legitimate members from raiders. Add expected members to the temporary whitelist before enabling it.

To stop Panic Mode early, run /autopilot antiraid, open Panic, and select Disable.

Exceptions

Temp Whitelist bypasses Anti-Raid for one user from 1 second to 1 day. Select Add, then send a user mention or ID followed by a duration, such as @member 1h30m. Select Remove and send the user again to end the exception early.

Ignored Users permanently bypass Anti-Raid. Use temporary whitelist entries for planned events or short exceptions.

Dashboard and Discord controls

Open Dashboard → Moderator → Autopilot to edit the main detection values, ignored lists, punishment policies, and alert channel. Dashboard changes are applied when you use the save bar.

Run /autopilot antiraid for Smart Detection, Global Bans, Panic Mode, and temporary whitelist management. The interactive Discord panel expires after five minutes, so run the command again when its controls stop responding.

Frequently asked questions

Why did a fast join burst only create an alert?

Join speed is only one Smart Detection signal. When the full group does not look malicious, Discortics alerts staff instead of punishing likely legitimate members.

Why was the selected action not applied?

Check the Discortics permissions and role position. Its role must be above the member, and the selected action needs the matching Moderate Members, Kick Members, Ban Members, or Manage Roles permission.

How do I protect a planned event?

Raise the join threshold if the event will exceed your normal rate, and add known attendees to the temporary whitelist. Keep staff near the alert channel while members arrive.

How do I restore the defaults?

Run /autopilot antiraid, select Reset, review the confirmation, and select Yes, Reset. Temporary whitelist entries are stored separately and remain until they expire or you remove them.
