Spam Protection watches how quickly a member sends messages and whether they repeat the same content. It is different from Flood Protection, which inspects one oversized or repetitive message.

Set up spam protection

Configure from the DashboardStart with the Discord baseline before adding custom rate limits.
  1. Open Dashboard → Moderator → Autopilot → Anti-Spam.
  2. Enable the protection.
  3. Keep the Discord spam baseline enabled.
  4. Add duplicate or repeated-message limits only when needed.
  5. Choose exceptions and punishments.
  6. Save and test from a non-administrator account.

The Anti-Spam mode selector

Simple mode

Simple mode uses Discord's spam filter. Keep Discord Spam Baseline enabled to block messages identified by Discord AutoMod.

Advanced mode

Advanced mode adds these Discortics checks:

Duplicate Messages limits identical messages from one member inside a time window. Enter limit/window, such as 5/10s.

Repeated Messages limits all messages from one member inside a time window, even when the contents differ. Enter limit/window, such as 8/10s.

Include Stickers counts sticker-only messages.

Include Threads applies Advanced checks in public, private, and announcement threads.

The Discord spam baseline stays active in Advanced mode unless you turn it off.

Exceptions

Ignored users, roles, and channels bypass the selected spam checks. Exempt bots or trusted automation only when their messages regularly exceed your safe limits.

Honeypot

Honeypot is configured inside /autopilot antispam, but it works separately from the main Anti-Spam toggle. Read the Honeypot guide before enabling it because every non-bot member who posts in that channel is punished.

Punishments

Open Punishments to configure Warn, Mute, Timeout, Kick, or Ban. Start with Warn while tuning the time windows.
